24 hours in Halong Bay (Sunrise)

Halong is always beautiful from my point of view, at any weather conditions, rain or shine! Luckily I had a great experience of the bay in two sunny day. Here is another video made from the sundeck of Halong Phoenix Cruiser II in the early morning of the second day:

You may wonder what are the activities for a 2-day cruise (or 24 hour-cruise) so here is a list of possible activities:

- Cruising while enjoying lunch
- Dock at Titop Island for swimming and hiking up to the view point for photos (around 1 hour)
- Return to the boat and visit Surprise Cave (about 1 hour)
- Staying overnight in a quiet area
- Sunset cocktail (high end cruises only) and happy hour
- Fine dinning (some offers private function dinner in a cave: Ginger Cruise & Indochina Junk)
- Squid fishing (catching squid with a rod)
- Next morning can be Yoga or Tai Chi for 30 minutes
- Breakfast
- Visiting a fishing village (Cua Van, Vong Vieng) & enjoy sampan ride around village to witness daily life
- Lunch while cruising back to pier

24 hours in Halong Bay - Video Clip from Titop Island

I traveled on Phoenix Cruiser II, like many others cruise boats in Halong Bay, which cruises the heritage route Hon Gai - Sung Sot - Ti Top beach - Van Gia (or Cua Van fishing village). I managed to climb up the Titop islet (named after a Russian pilot - Titov in 1969) for a panoramic view of the bay. It involved about 400 steps up and it's worthwhile. I was surprised by the spectacular view and I make this video clip from view point (nearly the top of the islet). This view point is one of the best spot for great shorts and video clip, to appreciate the beauty of Halong World Heritage site.

Here is the video made in the late afternoon:
